Pasos del flujo

1
Drop the image to read resolution and megapixels.
2
Review recommended use: web, social, A4, 8×10, poster.
3
Open Print Size or Resize if the diagnosis says Limited or Oversized.

Casos de uso

  • Decide if a photo is enough for an 8×10 print.
  • Catch oversized social uploads before you compress them.
  • Explain to a client why a 72 DPI tag is not the problem — pixel count is.

Puntos clave

  • Shows 4032 × 3024 px as 12.2 MP, not only the raw pair.
  • Flags web, Instagram, A4, 8×10 and poster suitability.
  • 300 DPI maximum print size from the real pixel count.
  • Does not pretend DPI metadata adds detail.
  • Pairs with Pixel Checker when you only need the box, and Image Checker when you need EXIF too.
  • Runs locally in the browser.

Resolution is pixels plus intended use

A 12.2 MP image (4032 × 3024) is usually excellent for web and fine for an 8×10 at 300 DPI (about 13.4 × 10.1 inches). The same file can be oversized for Instagram and limited for a large poster. This page turns the pixel count into those calls.

300 DPI maximum print

Maximum print at 300 DPI is width ÷ 300 by height ÷ 300 inches. If you need a bigger print, you must accept a lower DPI or start from more pixels. Changing the DPI tag does not create that detail. See DPI Checker.
