How to Convert Images in 3 Easy Steps

01

Adjust Settings

Choose your target format and adjust the quality slider to find the perfect balance between size and clarity.

02

Upload Your Files

Select or drag and drop your images into the conversion zone. We support JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, and more.

03

Download & Save

Conversion happens instantly in your browser. Download individually or grab everything as a convenient ZIP file.

Why use this converter

Privacy First

Unlike other converters, we don't upload your files to our servers. All processing is done client-side.

Runs in the Browser

Each image is converted with the Canvas API on your device, one file at a time.

Modern Formats

Stay ahead of the curve with support for next-gen formats like WebP and AVIF for better web performance.

Pixel Safety Cap

There is no daily quota. Images wider or taller than 16,384 pixels, or over 80 million pixels, are skipped so the tab stays stable.

Batch Queue

Add several images, convert them in order, then download each file or a ZIP of the results.

Quality You Set

The slider affects JPEG, WebP, and AVIF. PNG output stays lossless. Animated files keep the first frame only.

Image Checker β€” Diagnose Pixels, DPI & Metadata

Drop one image and get a local IMAGE REPORT: dimensions, megapixels, DPI, print size at 300 DPI, file size, format, aspect ratio, transparency, EXIF and GPS. Then jump to resize, compress, convert or metadata tools.

Workflow Steps

1
Drop a JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, ICO or SVG file. Nothing is uploaded.
2
Read the report: pixels, megapixels, DPI, print size, metadata and recommended uses.
3
Use Fix links to resize, compress, convert, check DPI or remove metadata.

Use Cases

  • Check a camera photo before printing or listing it on Etsy / Amazon.
  • See whether a screenshot is oversized for web or too small for A4 at 300 DPI.
  • Confirm GPS or camera metadata before you share a file.

Key Highlights

  • One upload becomes a hub for Pixel, DPI, Resize, Compress, Convert and Metadata tools.
  • Embedded DPI is read from EXIF, JFIF or PNG pHYs β€” Unknown if the file has none.
  • DPI metadata is not image quality. Changing 72 to 300 does not add pixels.
  • EXIF and GPS stay on your device. The report never leaves the browser.
  • Print suitability for web, Instagram, A4, 8Γ—10 and poster sizes.
  • Same privacy model as the rest of ImagePixelConverter: local Canvas processing.

Common Mistakes

  • Assuming 300 DPI in the file means the photo is sharper than a 72 DPI copy of the same pixels.
  • Sending a 12 MP phone photo to a form that only allows 200 KB without compressing first.

What this checker reports

Image Checker is the diagnostic front door for ImagePixelConverter. It reads pixel dimensions, megapixels, aspect ratio, orientation, file size, format, embedded DPI, print size at 72 / 150 / 300 DPI, transparency, color space when present, EXIF, and whether GPS tags exist. If DPI is missing, the tool says Unknown instead of pretending every image is 72 DPI.

From report to fix

Each finding links to a task tool on this site. File too large? Compress image or compress to 200 KB. Wrong dimensions? Resize. Need print math? DPI checker and print size calculator. Want privacy? Remove metadata. Need another format? Use the existing converters such as JPG to WebP.

Why this stays in the browser

The report is built from the file you dropped plus optional EXIF parsing in JavaScript. Image bytes are not sent to ImagePixelConverter servers. That matches the site’s privacy-first conversion tools and is the reason a diagnostic suite belongs here instead of on a generic calculator site.
